Miguel Urrego, has always had a passion for food. From a very young age, he would spend vast time in the kitchen with his mother in Jackson Heights Queens learning basic cooking skills and the tradition of his family’s Colombian heritage. Miguel’s true passion for creating dishes developed while attending the New York Culinary Institute. After running a New York catering company for many years, Miguel founded Creative Concepts NYC which has thrived since 2009. Urrego prides himself in being a hands on chef that is driven by the complexity and challenges that are presented in the catering world, all the while using the best available ingredients and supporting regional farms by using fresh local products. 
JulieSommers, a native of New Jersey, has extensive event industry experience within the New York City and DC areas.  She holds a BA in Hotel/ Restaurant Management from the University of Delaware and has won a strong following by having the simple and keen ability to listen and execute the client’s needs. A true foodie, Sommers finds endless inspirations for her menus from New York City and her travels abroad.  Her diverse background and passion for food provides the Creative Concept NYC’s team logistical ease and exceptional leadership.
   

Benjamin Lester’s duties include overseeing the social media, branding, and marketing of Creative Concepts NYC. Additionally, Lester provides event design and concepts using a unique fusion of logistics and lifestyle to complement and enhance the overall event experience. His inspiration comes from his northeast rural upbringing, previous theatrical career as a ballet dancer, and life-long love for New York City. A seasoned event professional, Benjamin’s diverse experience varies from event management, planning and styling. Whether filling in the blanks, connecting, or conceiving an entire event, his ability to adapt to a given situation is unparalleled.
